Prepare For Your

Tattoo Appointment

Once you've finalized the details, confirm the appointment by ensuring you have the correct date, time, and location.

In preparation for your tattoo, take care of your skin by avoiding sunburns and open wounds, and keep the area moisturized leading up to the appointment.

Day of Your

Appointment

  1. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, which can help the tattooing process.

  2. Eat a Healthy Meal: Fuel your body with a nutritious meal before your appointment to help you feel your best during the session.

  3. Shower and Dress Comfortably: Having clean skin and wearing loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area where you'll be getting tattooed is essential.

  4. Avoid Blood Thinners and Consuming Alcohol: These can increase bleeding during the tattooing process, so it's best to avoid them.

  5. Bring Necessary Items:

    • A valid government or state issued ID

    • Cash or payment

    • And any reference materials or designs you discussed with your artist

  6. Running Late: Life happens and sometimes you’re unable to make it to your appointment by the scheduled time. In the case that you're running late, please make sure to contact your artist to let them know when you will be in or if you need to reschedule.
Please note: Appointments more than 20 minutes late and with no communication will be considered a cancellation.

During Your

Appointment

  1. Communicate with Your Artist: Don't hesitate to speak up if you have any concerns or questions during the tattooing process.

  2. Stay Relaxed: Practice deep breathing or other relaxation techniques to help manage any discomfort. Consider bringing headphones or a book to help distract yourself, if needed.

  3. Follow Aftercare Instructions: Your artist will provide you with instructions for caring for your new tattoo after the session is complete. Follow these carefully to ensure proper healing.
